Junior Year of Youth Program

Apprentices enrolled in the Junior year of the Youth
Apprenticeship Program will be well compensated for
work performed at a sponsoring company. Junior apprentices
can earn money during a summer internship and sometimes
through weekend employment.

Apprentice pay

Pay levels for all other apprentices are tied to the number
of training hours that have been successfully completed. Wages
increase progressively (generally every half year) as higher
skill levels are attained.

Advanced Standings

If you have previous experience in the wood industry, you
may be granted advanced status after your experience has
been reviewed by an expert panel. If admitted to advanced
standing, an apprentice will be paid the wage rate for the
level in which he/she has been placed.
